Iranian Kaveh Precision Tubes (IKPT)

Profile

Iranian Kaveh Precision Tubes, brand IKPT, was registered in 2009 and reached volume production in 2012. It presents itself as the continuation of twenty years of experience at Kaveh precision tubes. “Precision” refers to its cold-drawn tube. The plant is on Street 22 of Kaveh Industrial City near Saveh, with the head office in Tehran.

Two different products

• Hot-rolled seamless pipe: OD 26.7–168.3 mm (¾ to 6 inch), wall 3–16 mm, lengths up to 12 m, 75,000 t a year. Used for oil, gas and refinery lines and high-pressure fluids.
• Cold-drawn precision tube: OD 6–141 mm, wall 0.9–15 mm, lengths up to 20 m, 15,000 t a year. Used for heat exchangers, boilers, hydraulics and automotive.

Standards on the mill’s product chart: ASTM A106, ASTM A53, API 5L, ASME B36.10, DIN, BS, JIS and EN.

Certificates and vendor lists

ISO 9001, and listed as an approved vendor by the Ministry of Petroleum, National Petrochemical Company, Pars Oil and Gas, National Iranian South Oil Company, National Iranian Gas Company, Tavanir and SAPCO.

Good to know

Kaveh also makes hidden-seam and conduit pipe, so not everything sold as “Kaveh” is seamless. The stencil and the mill certificate tell you which product you have.
