Profile
“Mannesmann Ahvaz” is what the Iranian market calls seamless pipe made in Ahvaz. Market sources attribute it to the pipe plant of Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) on the Ahvaz–Khorramshahr road. The group’s first rolling mill started in 1967.
According to a 2024 report by Tabnak, the Ahvaz seamless pipe is made on a push bench in ½ to 6 inch to API, ASTM, DIN and IPS. In 2007 the group signed a contract to supply ½–4 inch API seamless pipe for the gas network of the National Iranian South Oil Company.
What is not known
No primary source gives the capacity of the seamless line. The 90,000 t a year repeated on dealer sites has no original source, so we don’t quote it.
Not the same as Ahvaz Pipe Mills
Ahvaz Pipe Mills is a different company that makes large-diameter welded line pipe. If an offer says “Ahvaz”, the mill certificate tells you which plant made the pipe.
